My late model 07 fxstc has always had a jerky ride when in first, second and sometimes third when just maintaining throttle position. Once there is more load it smooths and the rpm hunting goes away. Tech road it for another issue and noticed it, but really didn't say he wanted to fix it. Not totally up on EFI but it seems like crappy fuel distribution as in really lean when this is happening. T max going on this winter, but want to make sure it may not be an injector problem. Cold start circuit gives smooth idle but when hot it fluctuates up and down a bit. No hesitation and gobs of power when needed otherwise. Anybody noticed this trate and what was the fix? I read somewhere there was a torque smoothing download for the early models but the later ones, like mine were already done. Could it be that they missed mine just before quitting time on Friday?

Get a pair of www.nightrider.com VIEDs set to 14.0 for about 1000 miles and then go to o2 eliminators and all that hunting stuff goes away.
This assumes you are stock. The farther you get from stock the more likely you may need a tuner of some sort. The TTS set up is the only game in town.
