audio problems 96 ultra
hi guys, new to site i have a 96 ultra with no sound from rear speakers headsets work fine
cb works intercom works, when switch on fairing is onheadset, when i first switch to speakers front come on no rear then switch back to headset front go off rear comes on but also have sound if helmets are plugged in. also have eng whine through headsets bad front speakers not to bad also the light that is in the switch is out all controls seem to work front and back. any guess's

The whine you hear is probably from the alternator and indicates poor ground connection in regulator, ground strap, negative battery cable, antenna grouond, etc.
If you have or can look at a '96 HD Service Manual, there is a lengthy diagnostic flow chart for the sound system. You identify your symptoms and locate the flow chart for diagnosing the cause. The flow chart takes you through the things to check to identify the cause of the symptom(s).
