Really needing some info on where to find where the speedometer sensor is located on a 02 Sportster. I can't find it on the tranny, and a dealer told my buddy that it was located on the front of the engine. I can't find it . The problem is that the speedo and odometer quit working while on a ride. Nothing else seems to be affected. PLEASE HELP !!!

On the tranny case you have two wire hook ups. one is for the nuetral light indicator the other is for the speed sensor. probably has metal fuzzies on the magnet. if the speedo quit working your turn signals would have stopped canceling also, since the TSSM reads the sensor for speed and distance to cancel the turn light.
