I,ll be fitting a Power Commander soon (its on order from Fuelmoto) and i,ve read its best to remove the O2 sensors as they will be disabled. Anyone know the size of the blanks and where to get them, or are they nothing special and a couple of cutdown bolts will suffice.
Any advice guys?
Hi Gundog, this is what i read on another thread.....Leaving a disabled O2 sensor inwill eventually ruin it because it no longer has it's heater circuit enabled thatwill no long be able to helpburn off the exhaust contaminants, if that is a concern.

I guess if you ever plan on reinstalling the sensors and using them again that might be a good idea. Removing the sensors can be a real pain in the *** and there is a possibility of damaging the threads.
O2 sensor eliminators are supplied with the Power Commander. At least they were with the one that I purchased from Fuelmoto. Just unplug the sensor from the harness (about 10 inches back of the sensor) and plug in the eliminator and you're good to go.

Harley uses the cheep two wire style o2 sensors. They are not heated. Leaded gas and /or a rich mixture will kill them.
Whittlebeast is right, one and two wire o2 sensors are not heated sensors. They rely on the exhaust heat to bring them up to operating temperature. That is why they are located close to the exhaust port in the head. Three and four wire sensors are heated sensors.
