Bike just purchased used, so don't know history. It's a 99 low rider. Problem is, when the key is first turned ontoeither theacc or ignition position the right turn signal light frt and back comes on in a very dim mode without blinking for about 15 seconds. It then will go out after getting a little dimmer and flickeringa bit. If I operate the turn signals, either right or left they work fine.
It is almost like the turn signal module is leaking outa littlepower to that side, but not enough to blink. Or, the right turn signal switch is defective andleaking a low voltage signal to themodule, which the module doesn't know how to read, thus it sends out a low voltage to that side.
Is it possible, because the bike has not been moved, the distance mode in the module is messing up the signal to that side? I can't run it as we have snow and ice. I guess I could run it on the jack long enough to activate the cancel function in the module.
Will disconnecting the battery clear the module any better than turning off the key?
