Initializing Tmax
When changing maps on the thundermax, do I need to go thru the ritual of starting the bike for ten seconds twice, then letting it warm up again each time I make a change? The instructions are a PIA to get around in. I can't find a map that's close to my set up so I'm having to experiment with different one's, just like I had to do with the PCIII. I did a search and I'm finding that a lot of folks are making adjustments to the Tmax after installation. This is what I was hoping to avoid and why I changed from the PCIII, but it seems that's not quite the case. I'm giving this thing one more try and if I'm not satisfied I guess I'll go back to the PCIII or maybe try something else.
Post your setup and we can help.
Put simplythe most important choice is throttle body/injectors, after that displacement. Exhaust, cams, etc will be easily adjusted for. The wide band w/auto tune is much more tolerant than the open loop PCIII.
