Default help with 08 FLHTX

I have had 2 eglides with 95' BB stage 1. My new 08 (250 mile two day old) needs something perormance wise but I'm totally confused which way to go. read about heat issues, lean conditions, high idles and extra amount of shakes. Bike has almost as much power torque as my 05 BB which has 78hp and 88 tq beginning at 2500 with SE 203 cam

I have upgraded with SE air box, rush slip-on with 1.75 baffel. Want to keep warranty with all dealers and just want a reliable ride not hotrod. What else is recommended.

Who installed the A/C box and mufflers? Was the ECU flashed, or is there a fuel management system installed?

Stock HD's run lean from the get go. Adding mufflers can make it run more lean and hotter.
Adding mufflers and an A/C box requires a fuel management system. There are several to choose from. Choosing a fuel management system depends on what's done to the bike and what may be done in the future.

With more information your question can be better answered.

I had the dealer put on the Stage 1 A/c, rush pipes and do a HD canned stage 1 download beforeever left the dealership. Thought bike would be fine seems fine but have noticed heat and oil pressure dropped to almost 0 after 30 minute hwy ride. If this is a F**-up why did dealer let me do it!

On older bike this type upgrade was better than stock but not as good as big bore. On my 05 upgraded to 95 with woods brothers TW6 ran PCIII. Ran excellent never popped or pinged on any type of gas and good low end torque (pulling power)

Thought I'd ride it for 1000 mile the see how she ran. 96 inch has good torque stock but just assumed upgrades would make it better.Really didnt want to do $$$ SERT and don't believe my dealer can really do a GOOD tune anyway. Fought hard just to "BE ALLOWED" to do the pipes and keep warranty.

Use to you could do things for better performance and safer two up rideing. Nowtechnology has learned to make fast cars with low emmisions and good economy. WTF gives with HD and having to spend too much to make it the way it should be.

PS thanks for reply
