can't rev
I have a 2007 soft tail nightrain with a stage I upgrade, rush mufflers, and a tach with a shift light set for 6000. The bike has 8000 miles on it with my wife on the back I could rev it to 6000 in 3rd gear (mile per hour not given). Now, sometimes in 1st gear it pops, sputters, and feels like it's on the rev limiter at 4500rpm to 5000rpm til I shift and does the same thing in the next 2 gears. It's been to a Harleydealer with no Dyno 3x in the last 6 months and every time it's the same; check down load and everything else to no avail. The ride home today from the dealer it revved severaltimes past 6000rpm and then started acting up as it started getting hot.
Can anybody point me in the right direction or should I take it to a dealer that has a Dyno to test it without driving it up and down the freeway? I would like to resolve this problem without causing me further funds.
