Hey, Terry
The bike has been performing relatively well since the switch, with some popping during decel. (I noticed more popping yesterday during a ride, but it often popped with the SEIIs as well.)
Today I removed the heat shields in order to make more room for me to re-torque the exhaust flange nuts just in case they loosened a little since the install last week. I noticed that the head pipes had blued up near the exhaust ports. Is that normal, or is it due to the bike running lean?
I was ready to re-map the ECM today, but after attaching the SERT interface cables, I discovered that I couldn't attach the cable to my laptop due to the fact there was no serial port (male) available. (I'll have to buy an adaptor and use one of the laptop's USB ports)
I plan on having the bike dyno-tuned in March after the local dealer dyno techs complete their updated dyno training scheduled for this month.
It's not uncommon for the head pipes to blue near the heads. You probably are running lean though with the blueing and the decel pop. Once you get your adaptor for your computer load a map that will make it run rich until you can have it dyno'd. You can adjust your map that you are currently runnng for a slight richer mixture too if you already have a SERT map loaded.
