I put a Tmax on my 07 Heritage Classice, Rush 1.75 Slip-Ons Ness Big Sucker and Andrews 37G cams. Mileage is about 31 MPG, don't really know what it was with the factory ECM and pipes. What are the rest of you getting? What maps are you running? Any suggestions on what changes to make? If you use the autotune, won't the changes simply be overwritten when it tunes itself again? Thanks

What kind of riding are you doing when you get 31? If you do a lot of city type riding, lots of starting, stopping, accelerating, mileage will be around 32 no matter what you change. If you're cruising out on the highway for long periods and you have your cruise range set to 14-14.2, you will get 43-50.
Franks, I think he is referring to an install that is set up on autotune. I'm not exactly sure, but doesn't the T-Max default to an AFR of 13.5 when in Autotune?
I understand what your saying that the unit can be manually set to change the cruising AFR to a more fuel friendly ratio like 14. ~ 14.2.
All the TMAT maps I've looked at have been set right at 13.0:1 default AFR in all RPM ranges. That generally makes for a nice running bike, but not so great of fuel economy...it takes all of about 5 mins to adjust the AFR's tho. Here's how I have mine set from about 1200 - 3800 RPM.

You can pick the rpm that you want to cruise at and lean them to your desired AFRs and the autotune will now tune to the new settings. It only defauts to 13.5 or whatever if the AFR overide is checked in the config. At least that's how I understand it. Some maps are leaner within the cruise range as well. My #401 map is 13.7 within this rpm range out of the can. Ron
Cool rbabos, all the maps I'd seen previous to yours were for my 4.22 injectors & had flat AFRs.
BTW, instead of manually tweeking every single map you can just do one & then use the hot keys to copy & paste it thru the RPM ranges you want. Press F2 for a list of hot keys.

Yup, you put me on to that a while back with the copy/paste thing. Do you reintialize the unit with these changes ? Logic would dictate to link up, read map, make changes, write map and settings back to module, unlink, start bike and go ride, and no initializing required. Trying to get a handle on using this this as efficiently as possible. Ron
I live in Seattle, so it is cool and traffic, even on the highways is frequently stop and go; there are also quite a few hills. My AFR settins are at 13.66 (front) and 13. 80 (rear). I am planning on some cruising on I-5 just to see what the fuel mileage is at 60 MPH. I tried map 401 but had some popping on decel. May be worth trying it again and working on decel if the mpg goes up. I realize I didn't buy a HD for great gas mileage, but was hoping for something close to EPA estimates than this.
Right; when hooked up & making changes to the ECM map, just write it & ride. No need to reinitialize (is that a word?) when making 'live' changes. If you tweek your map & then load it into the ECM you need to initialize etc again.

How are you adjusting AFR's from front to rear seperately?
