Default Zipper's Website, fuel issues

I'm trying to check for updated air fuel map downloads for my 07 heritage with T-Max tuner. Have been trying for almost a week now with no luck. The "downloads" area on their site does not work. Seems kind of odd that this has gone on for so long. Is Zipper's the only place for mapping downloads? I'm only getting 32-34 mpg and the motor will sometimes"fart" when I let off the throttle and get back on it. Sometimes it will stall right out. Happenseven more so when it's hot out. i'm thinking its got to be too rich at lower rpm. Allthough it could also be a lean spot. Kind of thinking rich because of the not so good fuel mileage. Any input would be appreciated.

Whenever you go for updatesfrom the software it will only return updates if any are available. I've only gotten one so far and it wasn't even the map that I'm using. If your bike was working ok before, there is likey no significant change in an updated map anyway that would fix your problem. The issues you describe can be changed in the existing map manually. I know the manual is a total pain in the *** to read, but all info needed to make it work is in there. All the maps that I've seen are more performance oriented, meaning milage will not be spectacular. This is where the user has the option to change it for more economy within the cruise range. Before doing anything confirm O2 sensors are working using the afr gauges and there are no exhaust leaks near the heads.

Hi-
I have downloaded updates when opening up my Tmax program and checking for updates; need to be connected to internet.

Just updated last night. No Tmax wizard here - would be nice to have a Tmax users group here in the forum- (is there one already if so my bad- i need to find the group then.)

I just had the Red Shift 575 cams installed with D&D fatcats and my bike has < sneezed> 3 times in this week since having it out of the shop. Coming to a stop shifting down it has almost die 2times. I do note that the head pipe connection is leaking a wee bit at startup so Indy will need to do that since I have **** for tools and he put them on.

So I should run AFR gauges forfront and rear heads looking at AFR then what? what is ideal AFR.

I have not messed around with my tmax much and had Pete at Zippers walk me through an update when I had stock cam with V&H BSS and SE AC....

I'd like to be able to get a pinch more mpg out of the bike as it is at 32 mpg now... not the best.

By reading the afrs you will be able to tell if each cylinder is hitting the target afr. On your( afr) vrs (tps) tables the blocks and afr gauge should be close. I believe this is what the afr target gauge is reading in the map. You will see slight differences of 2/10s between front and rear readings that's normal. If you have an exhaust leak as you say, then the one leaking will add more O2 to the exhaust and influence the sensor to deliver more fuel at the injector. You may see this extreme afr spread with the front and rear gauges.
As for better economy and still good power, choose the rpms you cruise at the most and run the afr's in around 14.2 max. For example, you want to cruise at 3072 rpm, modify 3-4 maps behind of that rpm and also ahead of that rpm. The cut and paste function in the manual will work nice for that. The auto tune feature should smooth the surrounding maps out with driving. Now I havn't acutally done this to mine at this point, but that's what approach I would use. A second opinion on this would begood in that case from someone who's done it.
