Default pc111 tuning

ok guys ..here goes..07 flht with a pc111...since i put on the pc111 the bike run great !.but lost about 8 mpg..rode the bike from PA to here in Texas, and next month going to ride back to Pa for a few weeks then back to texas. my daily rides here in are long rides, just love these long ,wide, flat high speed roads. very rarely do i go over 3,000 rpm's, with a 6 speed thats about 80 mph. anyways i sure would like to get some better milage out of her on the open interstates

whats the best way
1- fool with the buttons on the unit
2-dyno
3- call jamie and see if i can get map to help me out

if i fool with the buttons...can anyone here tell me how..is 3,000 rpms considered mid range?..not asking to gain much and dont want to go back to that hot lean condidion...but a little would help the ole pocket book

any insite would be appreciated

Don't know how to adjust the PCIII, but what's the current gas mileage?

#3...call Jamie. From experience with the PCIII canned maps I see they are on the rich side......Jamie can help you lean it out just a couple of points at the cruise area.

Sounds about right. This can be improved, so read on.

None of the above. Read the solution I found about 21 messages from the top, the one with the map attachment. Take note of the caveats about oil coolers, synthetic oil, etc., as they play a role in the numbers I selected for the cruise range.

Leave the buttons alone except in an emergency. That is not the way to accurately change A/F on the PCIII. The three buttons are divided between 0-2000, 2000-4000, and 4000-6000 rpms and each LED level represents a 5% change up or down. Use instead the software included with your PCIII, connect the PCIII to the computer, and make your changes. If you have an advanced map (front and back cylinders tuned individually) you'll need to make the changes to both. If you're not sure about making changes yourself, post your questions and we'll try to help.

FWIW, I just returned from a trip to the TX hill country and my mileage varied between 41 and 50.5 mpg, averaging 45 for the whole trip. The low was one tank on the interstate against a 25mph headwind.

I'm 99% sure higher is richer, but wait for another "expert" to answer
