I purchased a '07 FLHT (used 4500 miles) big sucker A/C, V&H 2~1 Pro Pipe, SE 211 cam, SERT. I don't like the cam, I do a lot of 2-up riding & high rpm doesn't interest me & I find low end torque in the 1800-2800rpm to be unimpressive. My last ride was a '99 FLHT A/C, pipes, Andrews 26G cam, I really liked the way it pulled in the low rpm & am looking for that in th '07. The previous owner gave me the stock cams so I will put them back in at least while it's still on warranty. I called my local dealer to find out what a dyno tune would cost, I told him I already had the sert. Well first he told me if I had a SERT installed the warranty was void. Is that true? Then he told me I didn't need a dyno tune that the stage 1 canned map would workbecause the O2 sensors would pick up the difference between the canned maps SE exhaust & the V&H I have.

P.S.I'm from Canada
If your dealer put it in, they might cut you some leeway and try to smuggle it through.
Unfortunatly, The SERT voids the warranty. Once they give control over to the owners to adjust everything, the warranties out the window. When it comes down to it, if you had a big problem, it's not your dealer that has final say on the warranty decisions. It's MOCO.
Look at it this way for an example. You want your TC 96 to sound like a shovel at idle. Use the SERT to turn the idle down to 800 rpm. The top end get starved of oil and bang......... how does HD warranty something you did? The dealer knows that you can't safely bring the idle down below 950/975.
It's just like the Fuel Pak on mine. If there's a problem with it or my bike...... my dealer will look after me. If I go across town to the other dealer, he might not. If it got back to MOCO.... not a chance in He77.
