&nbsp\\;I have just put a thundermax (non auto tune) in&nbsp\\;an 06 softail (it is the correct map)&nbsp\\;and it is running great but the engine check light comes on after riding for a minute or so and then stays on,this happens each time I start the bike?? I have cleared the errors in the thundermax but the problem remains. Also,does anyone have the diagnostic codes for an 06 softail ??&nbsp\\;Any help much appreciated.

Might try a different gas cap. It might be not sealed properly. Be sure yours is screwed on tight.

Thanks anyway but its not the petrol cap it is something to do with the Thundermax,I ran a diagnostic check using the trip meter/ignition and a diagnostic trouble code (DTC) showed up which is PO131,does anyone know what this code means and how&nbsp\\;I clear it ??

I had the exact same thing happen to me and it turned out I did not have the data cable connected properly.&nbsp\\; Just so we are clear, there are the two O2 sensors and the main connection on the bottom of the of the ECM.&nbsp\\; The data cable is the other one.&nbsp\\; It will not come on if you are in open loop, but will come on in closed loop if it not connected properly.

I only have the one connection to the ECM mine is not auto tune and I have checked the connection.

Sorted the problem&nbsp\\;

I had to download the 4.4 firmware rather than the latest 4.6 ! The 4.6 was tricking the bike into thinking it had 02 sensors as on later model bikes and making it throw an error code which in turn made the engine warning light come on.
