no more push button problems
turned out when I said that I had push button problems, I was more accurate then I could have known. The switch that came with the kit was flawed, the terminals on the back were touching which closed the circuit causing direct current, the equivalent to hard wiring a light fixture to the fuse box without a switch, but I would not have even got that far if it had not been for DOC1, thanks for your help my ironhead is up and running.
