dynojet PCiii software won't run - says no Windows
how do I fix that?
running it on the wife's Gateway Laptop with Windows XP
but the software won't start. it just gives a warning that I need to be running windows 2000 or XP or VISTA.
put CD in, tried off CD,
then copied all parts to hard drive, won't run off the HD either

Did you run the actual install?
Try downloading the software off their web site and going through the installation on to the hard drive of the laptop.

i copied the whole CD to the hard drive.
I was mucking it up....
there is a Hot Link in the menu at the top - that brings up the warning.
there is a picture and some words in the middle menu - that is NOT a link
then the only link to install the software is the words "install software"
it took me about 10 minutes to figure that out. i think the warning made me not click around to find a working link.

The easiest thing to do is download the install program from the website. It is one file and the most current one. Sounds like you are making it more complicated than it need to be.
Most of the files on the CD are the Maps. You can download just the one you want from the website also. Or you can download all of the available maps for your bike only.
