Voltage Drops

I have a 1992 Ultraclassic - When useing turn signal my voltage guage on the dash drops to bottom and then jumps with the fashing of the signal. I have a new self-canceling module installed with no change - tracked and cleaned all ground connections. Any suggestions?

Yes, don't trust the guage. I have seen several of that vintage and before with the same issues. You can get a digital volt meter to check the voltage.

I have tested with a meter and it shows the same fluctuation in voltage. I am at a loss to explain it.

sounds like a ground problem. check your main 3 ground wires...
1. at battery and frame connections
2. at starter solenoid
3. front cyclinder head to frame

Thanks for the responses - I will check grounds where suggested and let you all know the results. Why does electricty hate me so much? My house likes to test my electical abilities too!
