Regulator/rectifier issue
I have a 1992 Ultra Classic that I had triked. My question is concerning the regulator/rectifier and it possibly being bad. My in dash volt meter shows around 10 1/2 at idle, and about 13 when riding. When I use the turn signal or even hit the brake, the volt meter dips. When sitting at a light and it shows 10 1/2, most of the time the turn signal will not work. When it does work, the voltage goes down to below 10 volts. The book states the regulator should keep a constant voltage, which mine does not do. Am I correct assuming the regulator/rectifier is bad, or could the stator not be putting out the right A/C voltage for the rectifier to do what it needs to do properly?
