so wheres the maxi fuse at? i took out 2 fuses per the manual...well if I am closing the circuit and there is no resistance...wont the battery just drain out? isnt there supposed to be something to prevent it until i turn the ignition?
The maxi fuse is that big fuse on the Left side of the battery (Orange fuse, has a 40 on it), inside the box... Snapped on cover.... it has two wires going into it..
There will be always be a drain on the battery... it's called MILLIAMP DRAW... and it is a fact of life...
The fuses that you removed were prolly the ECM and Fuel pump... both are 15 amp...

Voltage causes arcing, not current. Amperage kills, not voltage. You prolly have occasionally seen images of a telsa coil arcing several feet to someone's hand as a science demonstration or something. It's very high voltage letting it arc that far, but very low current making it safe.
