charging system

I got a new battery, new regulator and new stator, my volt meter reads 18v across the battery while its running. I'm concerned that this is too high. Can anyone give me conformation on this issue?

I replaced all three on a 2000 Road King and my volt meter showed 14.5 - 15 running. Pull the plug between the stator and the voltage regulator start the bike and check your voltage there. At @ 2000 rpms it should read about 42 volts. If your getting 42 volts then the regulator is probably the problem.

I had the same problem before, Thought it was the regulator. After replacing the regulator it was still doing the same thing, turns out it was a defective stator
