I need to replace my ignition switch for my '94 Nostalgia. HD dealer said the part number is 71501-94.
Would these two both work? And which would be better?
Heavy-Duty Electronic Ignition Switch 1936-95 Exact duplicate of the latest style ignition switch. Updated to the smooth action and super dependability of total electronic switching eliminating the troublesome pole-to-bar contacts found in the original equipment switch. Highly resistant to vibration and corrosion, the late-style 6-pole terminal pattern is easily adapted to all models with dash mounted switch (except Dyna Wide Glide®) from 1936-95. Includes two reversible keys and both the early and late-style ignition switch caps.
Heavy-Duty Ignition Switch 1973-95 A top-quality, heavy-duty ignition switch for all Softail®, FXWG and FL models (except Dyna Wide Glide®) from 1973-95. Also compatible with custom dash covers. OEM 71501-73T
It looks to me like the first choice would be best, but I'd like your inputs. Any advice would be appreciated!
When my switch failed due to corrosion, all I could find locally and fast was a cheap 3rd party rig. I would go with your first choice - you cant beat quality and dependability.
