If that checks OK , then try the same voltage drop test on the neg lead, from battery post to good frame ground, same results on drop should be readable. If both OK you can back up to the pos post test and try and get the other lead to one side of your main fuse. Could be a bad wire/connector or a bad connection at you main fuse connection. The point is, where you get a voltage drop voltage reading is where you have a poor connection, ie.. a resistor, also while your checking each point , try and wiggle the wire and the connection point. If you can't find anything here , post what you did find and we can go from there.
With the bike running the single red wire on one of the relays in the fairing was pretty warm. Actually it was borderline hot after the bike was running with all the accessories on for about 10 minutes tops. I already removed the battery cables and split the jacket open to see its condition so I can't do a resistance test on them.

When you put the new cables on, take the negative cable off while it is running, and do your systematic run through then. See how it bounces around then. In my opinion, that should help isolate the problem.

Default What Asscy's

I am not familiar with the relays that much, is it just 1 circuit that gets warm? Can you isolate what all is on the circuit? The electrical drawings in the service manual would show what is on that circuit. Is there a way you can remove the downstream side wire from the relay socket. If you can , then try your intial sequence that was causing the problem and see if it still acts up. reply with update on findings
