Man i need some help i have an 07 superglide custom with 45,000 miles on it and stage I ac and V&H big radius 2x2. and iam getting alot of surging when your going thru towns at low speed. And then when on steady throttle on the road at say 58 in 5th gear or 70 iin 6th gear the bike just cuts out like someone shut off the fuel for a split second.
In march i decided to pull out the PCIII and put in a SEPST and have the bike dynod and in my opinion the problem has only gotten worse. It has been back to the harley shop 3 times since the install and first dyno run to try to fix this
first time dyno guy said it was leaning out all the way to 14.7 in low range and richend it up and we left mansfield road all the way to port clinton no issues and then on the way back same issues.
So took it back to the shop and they decided it needed a new ECM and ordered one and also had to put in a new SEPST and dyno it. Picked it up and still same issues.
Since service was due i changed the fuel filter it was pretty dirty and test rode it and still had the same issues. So back to the shop agian for a week. They checked fuel psi and pulled everything out of the tank and checked all hoses for pin holes etc and found no issues put it on the dyno and ran it to monitor live data and no codes no sensor issues nada nothing. Then they went to the book and it said to check relays and fuses and they found corrosion so they replaced all the fuses and relays and cleaned all the connection points. I picked the bike up monday and just got home today saturday from a long ride and all the problems are still there surging in town, cutting out and steady rpm and speed and now even more poping and cracking possibly that is from the tune but dam iam at a loss here need some help.
jamie from fuelmoto thanks, can or is that something that can change over time?? Reason i ask was that i did have a PCIII on that i bought from you and it worked great for about two years then this issue started up and the wife bought me a race tuner and dyno run for christmas and still no change in the issues. Can the timing advance change over time on a bike and the canned map or dyno tune go out of tune so to speak??? Iam just trying to figure this out.
!!UPDATE!!
Well think they found the issues, rear fuel injector wiring harness was exposed and shorting out cutting out the rear fuel injector. I picked it up today and have only rode about 30 miles to the house as i had to work but its running great at the moment and crossing my fingers.
