Why do my hazard lights flash?

flatheadknucklepanshovel - did you ever find out what the deal was with your bike? I have an '02 FLHTC, no security, carbs- no FI, same problem. Could the turn signal module be going bad? speedo sensor? any help would be good. problem just started.

Nope. Haven't found out. Like you no security but, injected. Still blinking, still running. Why are you thinking speedo?

The mechanic I talked to told me to pull and clean the speedo sensor in the tranny as it interacts with the TSM/TSSM to cancel the turn signals; he thought that might be part of the issue. Mine was OK, but did have quite a bit of metal hanging on it (its a magnet) because the tranny has 44,000 mi on it. I found info on how to pull the codes from the TSM, and the code it throws is 31 - "alarm output low." I dont have security on my bike. I went through and checked/cleaned all the wires/connectors, nothing helped.
