Default electrical problem

09 FXDF fat bob with security, turn off bike blinkers flash, then a few seconds later some of the lights on the speedometer flash, oil pressure and high beam, lights on the speedo flash, its keeps doing this. I pulled the main fuse and let it sit for a few and put it back in, and its starts doing the same thing. Security module going bad? The Security LED should blink like that not the whole speedometer. Can I take the security module off and the bike will run? I have changed to a different speedometer, H.D. unit with a tach but that was a year ago and have had no issues.

Ok went out at lunch and messed with it again. When the blinkers flash the cluster lights up and the fuel pump pulses. I pulled the ecu fuse and it still does it. so its something besides the ecu. When you start it all is good. Time to get it home and pull out the schematics. Anyone ever had this problem. I am thinking alarm module and or ignition switch

There is a way to reset the security module (TSSM). Try searching for it. Other than that I can't say what to do next.

Check your mods. Buy the service and parts manuals.

Look for a relay if you have the electrical schematic. In a car I had blower fan would not turn off. I puled every fuse that said ac/heat and the fan would keep blowing all at one time. I could not find the relay, mechanic informed me that is what it was. It was just stuck/welded in the closed position. I do not know for sure but worth a try.

I have a service manual since I am looking at the wiring diagram lo-rider. That seems to be your usual answer. After troubleshooting it turned out to be the run-stop-turn module that makes the blinkers work as brake lights. Removed it and everything works fine.
