ECM Testing- Pre-Fuel Injection - Ghost issues
Glad to know I am not the only one to suspect the ECM on my 1997 EVO with Carb. After replacing > Coil/Plugs/Wires/CPS/Battery, the issues I had remained. However, the DynaTek CPS By-passes the ECM in the Ignition Loop, and bike did start and run like new for a bit,... then stumbled and died like a switch went off. * All wires have been checked for Continuity, so the leaves ONLY the ECM as a Culprit. YET >>> There is NO way to test them, and buying a used/suspect ECM on ebay is dumb, so I am purchasing the DynaTek ECM that is a Mate to the CPS already installed. These things are frustrating, and sharing these things should help someone I shudder to think how all this knowledge will be gone in 5-10 years when the old and knowledgeable Mechanics ride away....
