SEST Vs. SEPT Question
There are lots of ways to learn and a person cannot even know what he might want or need until you get into the game. I,ve got 45 years of stuff laying around my shop. Now and then I fine something that went on a car gone 25 years.
Like you I now have a completely useless SERT laying around. One way or another one learns, we hope.
This SERT taught me about what I really needed cause I was planning on some changes for sure.
Like any game, gotta Ante Up. Just the way it is.
Mr Wizard I wonder if the SERT can be upgraded and the EMC lock put back to ZERO?
That question was asked before and I've been sitting on pins and needles to type that. Still sounds as smartass as it did the first time I read it but I'm just fun'n with ya.
It's the correct answer though.
Back in the mid 70's my nickname was "pockets". I would come home from work with all sorts of tidbits weighing my pants down. Was talking to a bud that was wanting to re-jet his Holly 780. I asked what number and he answered. I pulled them out of my pocket and handed them to him... now you know the rest of the story. My point is... I still have pull drawers filled with the same stuff in my shop, 30+ years old.

Go on the TTS website and do the test on your old SERT and they will tell you if it is upgradeable. I had my old SERT upgraded for $100 by TTS. You have to sent them the dongle and it takes about 2 weeks. Very easy to test on line.
