Default 2007 TC96 ignition swap (EFI to carb)

Hello all. Can't find the answer to this question anywhere. I have a TC96 that I am using in another application. My question is that I'm removing the efi and moving to a carb. Will an aftermarket ignition work or is there anything special about the ignition that comes standard. I'm not worried about speedo, signals, etc. Just have the ignition question. Thanks

Good question. Since the entire engine runs off of input signals from various sensors including those in the throttle, intake and EFI system you are going to have some real engineering to do with regard to the ECM programming. I have never heard of an aftermarket kit but maybe someone will chime in.

Default Just to clarify

Thanks for the reply. Just to clarify.... I'm stripping the motor of all electronics... Going to a basic carb setup and basic ignition. To be honest it's going to be used in a custom chopper. Nothing electrical, just the ignition. So I guess I'm wondering if I can use this motor. Thanks everyone!

You will need a Ignition system from a company called Altmann by micro machines the ignition I'm ordering is a Amn-p3 it works off of the crank sensor of the bike.

Thunder Heart make a Stand Alone Ignition System for the Twin Cam using the OEM crank trigger. Cost around $300. FYI ... they make the Thunder MAX EFI system Zipper's sells.
