Does anyone know what the value of each green light is on the front of the PCIII USB? I'm trying to adjust my low range to get rid of the decel popping I have with V&H Ovals. I want to make the adjustment with the buttons on the front of the power commander so I don't have to take it out to hook up to my computer (don't have a laptop). So for instance if I want to set my 0 throttle position to 20, how many notches should I move?? I currently have the stock map for 2005 Eglide with V&H Ovals, Ness Big sucker & stock ecm. It runs good but would like to eliminate some of popping.
The Power Commander web site says -- "A movement of one led represents a 4% change on Power Commander II's and a 2% change on Power Commander III's except for the Power Commander III's on the Kawasaki Drifter and the Ducati's, which are 4%." Recommend you go to their web site a poke around. They have a turotial on "How to set the Throttle Position values".
The FAQ also has the following to say about the buttons --
Q: What ranges (low, mid, high) do the face plate buttons affect my fuel curve?
A: All Power Commanders are set up to split the bikesâ usable rpm (idle to redline) into thirds. The button adjustments affect a throttle position ranges in that rpm section.
As an example, for a bike that revs to 9,000 rpm the button would work in the following way
Low: idle to 3,000 rpm
Mid: 3,001 to 6,000 rpm
High: 6,001 to redline
Based on the bands, as described, it appears that you cannot offset just the zero (0) throttle posiiton using the buttons. Hope this helps....
bob53, send an email to Curt at Dynojet, see the address below. Tell him what you've done, pipes, etc. What map you used, and what's going on, popping, etc. He'll get it fixed for you. He emailed me the proper map to use with some adjustments he made to the map for the popping. My bike now runs great.
