Wiz.. it's a guy thing with me. Yes I read the manual, and yes I understood a lot of it, but I over-analyzed the whole process. After talking with you and making the first couple of runs for the VTUNE process it became very clear to me what was happening then. So for your time and knowledge, I can never thank you enough. YOU ROCK!

I did run the update but have been busy today so I haven't had the opportunity to go look at what changes were made and the new calibrations...

Actually no new calibrations but the selection is good to begin with!

Start where you left off and do another Vtune... you'll get a kick out of the new Vtune software and what it can do.

In all fairness, there are those that have good experience with the SEPST. Myself for example. I have been using mine since 2008.

My personal opinion is that both products do the same thing. Probably equally as well if the user understands the tool he is using.

The biggest difference I see is that Steve Cole puts himself out here in these forums to actively promote and support his product. Which I believe from a business perspective is an excellent strategy. Since TTS is Steve's company, he knows his product intimately, understands exactly how it works and what it does. He readily engages in discussions on various forums concerning problems and questions his end users may have.

Unfortunately the Motor Company directs that support for the SEPST is done at the dealer level. I have no idea the level or type of training the service personnel get on using the Pro Tuner but it seems to be geared more towards getting the customer's bike in the shop, putting it on a Dyno, and tuning the VEs. If a Customer calls with a question or problem (as I did) HD Corporate says "call the dealer", the dealer says "No, that's not sposed to happen. Never heard of that, but I'll ask around."

Essentially all I meant Jay was exactly what you stated. No support from HD and if you want to talk to a tech that is supposed to know anything about the SERT and SEST devices, your only option is to pay them to do it and hope they do it right. In my case they didn't. And in all fairness, this same tech installed SE255 cams in my 06 RoadKing, then tuned it and did it with expertise. I'm not sure if it's a training thing with the SEST or what, but this lack of customer service is rapidly thwarting me away from dealing with any HD shop for any kind of service unless it's something under warranty.
I as well as most people on this forum and anywhere else in life, put a value on their time and my time is not worth wasting on these types of shops that are lack-luster at best.

I was in no way, nor did I mean to bash any one device over the other; that was not my intention. I whole-heartedly believe the SE products are good products but finding someone who knows what they're doing to work with them properly, especially in this area of the country, is like finding a needle in a haystack and I certainly don't have good $ after bad $ to throw at a "shot in the dark" tune job. When I bring something to a place of business regardless of who it is for repairs or service, I expect it to be done right, and I expect it to be done right the first time. That has NOT been my experience with ANY HD shop I have had service work done around here.

Hope I didn't offend anyone..

Thundermax with Autoune will allow you to tinker all you want. Thus you won't have to take it somewhere to have it re-mapped every time you touch it! If you have a laptop and can figure out how to turn it on, tuning with Thundermax will be a cinch! We have used with many combinations from mild to wild with great success.
