I've had a forum member working with me to fine tune my map. I believe it is justdennis but not 100%. Anyway, he is way more knowledgeable in tuning with the P.V. than I am. I was having some issues with the bike being sluggish in the 2000-2500 rpm range while cruising around town. He set the map up so it would be in open loop mode in this range. The bike runs much better.
Can I use the new auto tune feature with this map? I read on here that you could not datalog with a map in open loop mode. Thanks for the info, I am anxious to try out this new feature.

Yes you can. In a nutshell.....When you set up the PV to autotune, the map you select is changed automatically to enable the correct gathering of data. When you are done datalogging or autotuning, when you export data and disable autotune the map you were autotuning from is updated and saved to the PV with the new VEs and your fuel table and spark tables are returned to the same values you original had.
The entire AFR table is set to 14.6 using AutoTune Basic.
Thx for the reply. The question about Dynojets recommendation not to use a PC Import map was mentioned by someone a couple pages back but I don't think anyone replied to him. I'll ask another way. If you are using a PC Import map, can you use the update tune feature to make it an acceptable map for the new firmware to avoid the warning against a long learning time.
I've tried maps from dynojet and currently using a map from Fuel Moto that has been tweaked with logtuner with great results. Comparing the maps, they have the same fields of parameters so would really like to know what causes the slow learning when using auto tune with the PC Import map.
Just got the Power Vision, got the custom tune on the bike.
How do I get the original tune and the custom tune off the PV and saved onto my pc for a backup? I've read all the instructions ive found but i can't figure it out.

Open WinPV select powervision/get tune from pv/select the tune/get
The file will be copied into the program. When it is done It will display a popup box ready for editing I think. Go to file/save as......
