I just installed a PCIII and a map that is exatly like my setup: Samson rolled ovals, stock ECM(I believe it is stock- how to tell?) and Stage 1 filter, but it doesn't seem to work. IT still pops just as much on decel. I even got the message "map successfuly sent." I understand what all the numbers on the grid mean but how do I adjust the map to eliminate this problem w/o getting dynoed just yet? What numbers should I look at to play with?
Also, would riding the bike with the PCIII hooked-up to the laptop do anything? Could I use the laptop to record a real-time air/fuel curve.
You can add 5's in the 0 throttle position from 1500 RPM up to 4,000 RPM. That is the column all the way to the left. If that does not stop the the popping try 10,s or 15's or 20's until it stops. I have 20's in mine. 20's will use a little more gas.
