A bit of history... I have a 2001 Heritage that I just replaced the TSSM on. I tried the TSSM Configuration instructions in the service manual. It says to go thru the steps 3 times, but I was only able to do it once. So... I paired the FOB and set the PIN just fine.
Starting... I turn the switch to IGN and the security light comes on for a few seconds then goes at as it should. The turn the kill switch to RUN. The check engine light comes on as normal and the fuel pump primes. All is good so far.
Now to the issue... After the bike starts and is idling, the check engine light comes back on for about 5 - 8 seconds. This didn't happen before.
I also have a 2006 Dyna WG here and this does not happen on it.
Any ideas?
If I need to reset the TSSM and start over, does anyone know if or how this can be done?
I have a 2007 Sportster with 6,500 miles on it. On Thursday the check engine light and battery light came on. We checked all the connections and then on Friday the battery died and I had to have it jumped. It didn't let me get all the way home when the battery died. I installed a new battery since it is the original. Now the speedometer reads NO CAL. Does any one know what the problem is? Need to get riding, summer too short.
