Low fuel light

I just converted my 07 Ultra to an 08 six gallon tank. All the tank internals are new 08 right out of the box and I installed an 08 fuel guage as well. EVERYTHING works correctly, however, my low fuel light is on constantly. Where is the sensor located and how do I trouble shoot it?

attached is the sender and fuel gauge test sequence that you can find in an 09 manual. should be the same test sequence for the 08s

Thanks I'll check it this weekend. The fuel gauge itself works and registers over 3/4 of a tank at the moment. I have to find an 08 schematic to compare to the 07 schematic. It might simply be plugging 08 into 07. Been waiting for ultralongridesoreass to reply if his works properly after switching tanks.
