I filled up my tank (08 Ultra) and rode 40 miles. Then, I notice the low fuel warning light is on. The gauge is pegged full. In fact, it almost looks like it is further to the right than normal but that may be a result of my looking for something that isn't there. Anyone else have a low warning light come on when the tank is full (I looked in the tank just to make sure). Likely cause and solution?

 

Likely cause would be gauge out of cal.
Fix = Take to the dealer and have them recal your gauge to float. Well unless you know how to calibrate it.

 

My 05 Ultra did that once, shook the bike back and forth and rode for a few minutes and it went off. Just chalked it up to hung float.
