Throttle stuck?
I recently got an 87 HD sportster 883 xlh that has been upgraded to a 1200 from my father in law. The bike is kind of a "work in progress" he was in the middle of adding a new wiring harness to add signal lights to it hasn't been started in 4yrs. So he brought the bike down to me and I'm not sure were to start. He says that all it needs is a battery and and it should start right up. So as the bike sits now it still has the old harness on it with out the signals, so I was gonna just put a battery in it just to go ahead and get some practice but I noticed the throttle barely moves? The clutch is also disconnected.so what should my first step be just to fire this thing up?
