yeah I know.. and the fact that the dealer is wanting to put some kind of resistor inline with power definitely makes me suspect of the voltage regulator and or stator. but then again, he had that changed and same problem.
Is the low beam working properly? Is the low beam shutting off when the high is turned on? Just speculating, maybe the headlight is made so high and low can't be on at the same time.
Like UltraNutZ said, it should be plug and play.
Inline resistor just seems like a hack job, and not fixing the real problem. Besides, I don't have enough faith in most techs to properly calculate the correct resistance and power ratings...
I forgot about this thread, but someone contacted me to ask the solution.
I'll post it now for any future solution searchers!
I ended up having a faulty bcm. My light in a 2013 SG worked fine, as well as a 2013 bcm in my SG worked fine. They ordered a new bcm, warrantied it out and problem solved!
