Need help!!!! 2006 flhx

ok i've been fighting this for a year. i was riding my bike and it got low on fuel so i fill it up then went home and parked it the next morning i started it and it would not idle and it would fall on it self and the check engine light came on the code was P0108 map sensor replace the map senor. samething, so i looked on some forms and they said to check the fuel filter for crack so i did, and it had one so i replaced the filter and fuel pump. it stated right up and ran fine, but the check engine light was still on P0108 so i replaced it again and check the wires for short, no short , still on. so i'm running it like that now. it just started to bakefire and falling on it self when hot, not when cold. Well thats were i'm at.

Replace spark plugs with stock HD plugs. Clean and tighten battery cable ends. With engine at idle, lightly mist WD40 between cylinder heads and see if idle speed changes, will indicate a vacume leak. Install 4 oz's of Chevron Techron to the fuel system and run it. Do you have a tuner installed?

no vacume leaks, clean battery cables and tight , new plugs about a month a ago. no tuner installed. check engine light still on p0108 map sensor to high.

carb or FI and what air cleaner?

reason I ask about the air cleaner is to check the breather tube for cracks and also check that all bolts on your air cleaner are tightened to specs.

Also, check your other sensors. They won't always throw a code. Start with O2 sensor,crank position, and engine temp. sensor.

FI, stock air filter, new ckp sensor, new air temp ssensor, new IAP sensor, new MAP sensor. i've been chasing this for a year now. i'll check the breather tube for cracks and check bolts in the morning i'll let you know how it goes
