Default Accessory power outlet?

I just found what looks like an accessory power outlet just in front of the battery box. It has a red wire leading back into the loom that goes to the fuse box, and it's essentially zip-tied to a crossways frame member in front of the battery box. Looks like the female side, so that an appropriate male electrical connection could just slip in, with a ground to some nearby screw.

Am I interpreting this correctly? Don't see anything about this in the service manual.

This would be a great place to find power for my new tach, if so!

That is your HOT Accessory line......

Always hot, not grounded....

If you look at your ELECTRICAL MANUAL, you will see it in the schematics.....

Thanks Shovel. So would that be appropriate to use with my tach? Is it fused? I can use that for power, ground to a screw to the frame, yes?

It's for a battery charger-maintainer.

Orange - Switched power

Red w/ Yellow - Brake Light Circuit

Orange w/ Red - Running Light Circuit... Switched (I think).... Memory is the 2d thing to go....
