Charging system
I've put on a weather proof and fused 12-volt outlet down by the seat near the battery. Want to have a place to plug in GPS power cord but also handy and quick place to plug in the battery tender. I've been riding in the cold and wet around here for the last week and a half and it's got me thinking about a heated vest (it was 50 degrees farenheit and rainning this morning). Will the charging system on a stock 1988 Heritage Softail be able to keep up with the power drain? I've also rewired the passing lamps to be on all the time the headlight is on.

Might be iffy in town with the spots and clothing (stop and go), You may consider rewiring the spots to normal so you have a choice,
BTW you can also use this plug for a battery charger hook up if you haven't allready.
