Ground Problem?

I have a '94 Heritage Classic. When I use my turn signal both lights flash, one is bright and the other is dim. I cleaned the grounds on the frame and the contacts in the wiring harness coupler. Checked the bulbs and look okay. These are 1157 two element bulbs. I cleaned the contact areas on the rear fender where the lights are mounted. Any suggestions?

try running a jumper wire off the battery ground to the light socket, and see if that changes anything. if no change the light socket is faulty.

An alternative is a poor wire connector that is dirty or corroded. Carefully disconnect all connectors associated with that light, clean and grease with silicon grease and check again. Grounds are a great place to start, as they are more likely to suffer corrosion. Disturb, clean and grease them as well.
