Ignition/Tuner/ECM/Fuel InjectionNeed advice on ignition issues? Questions about a tuner? Have questions about a EFI calibration or Fuel Injection? Tips on Engine Diagnostics, how to get codes, and what they mean. Find your answers here.
I have a sert tuner that was mated to my bike when i bought it. I'm thinking on making some changes because of the decel popping and rough idle after it's warmed up. But i'm kinda gun shy about doing it, because I heard that i couldn't recall (upload)the map that i currently have on the bike , just in case i can't fix the problems. can anyone give me any advise???
P.S (I have a 2007 calif. road king, big sucker a/c and d&d 2 into 1 exhaust.)
Right! if there was a way to retrieve the sert map code, so i could reinstall in case i screw up reprogramming it. in the manual it says you can retrieve some data but doesn't say I can retrieve the sert (canned) code to get close to what i already have.
There is no way to retrieve the calibration that is in your bike.
There is a way to find the starting calibration # simply by using the SERT software. Pretend you are going to flash the bike, get the ECM information. The calibration # will come up on the screen.
If your bike is not running as good as it used to and you haven't modified the motor or exhaust then the adaptive learned values may be skewed due to degrading 02 sensors, plugs or other part of the bike.
To remove the adaptive values click on Datamaster and click on Clear AFV. Turn your bike off. This will refresh the tune in your bike and take it back to the day it was installed.
To upgrade to the TTS is a great move. Normally 2005 and up bikes are upgradeable.
