Default Trouble starting hot engine

I have recently installed new S&S 124 with 585 EZ start cams and running a power commander 5. When the engine is cold starts right up first shot. After I ride awhile and say stop for gas and try and start up the engine is harder to start, if I give it maybe 10 mins it starts up no problem.
What is causing this.
Thanks

Check your battery connections first.

Sounds like fuel delivery problems - fuel line next to heat source? The engine temp jumps considerably after immediate shutdown, maybe a vapor lock?

Need to change cranking fuel. But I am not sure you can do that with a PCV. Kind of doubt it.

With a PCV, you are using the stock settings for all kinds of stuff, and with a 124? Might be time to switch to a real tuner to be able to get at all of the available tables. TTS would be my first choice.

You blew out on an S&S 124 and didn't buy their module to go with it?! Why not use theirs?!

That would work, also. I just find a stock ECM, when tuned properly with a flash tuner, gets the job done, too. Big motor like this? This is why I like to recommend TTS and not others.

More mundane engines, there will be other tuners that run as good.
