Blinker and Tail light problem
I just purchased my first Harley, 1999 Softail Custom.
It has a couple lighting issues,
One the blinkers light up but do not flash, both front and rear they stay solid when blinker is switched on.
Also the tail light, running light, does not work, bulb was burned out i switched out the bulb and still does not work, brake light works fine.
Was told that the blinkers are malfunctioning due to a signal module, could both issues be related? Do all lights run through this module?

I have much the same problem with my 95 Fatboy, it would appear that the flasher module under the tank is at fault and I am trying to find out how to get rid of it and use a normal flasher relay as the stock module here in the UK is over $200!!

You can't get rid of it without adding stuff. There's a wire that connects to the speedometer for canceling the blinker. And no, the rear tail light doesn't go through the TSM. That's a different issue, follow the wire back from the taillight to the connector under the seat. Look for a break in the wire.
