I thought about this when I installed mine 2 weeks ago. I used the di-grease, plugged them together then wrapped entirely with black electrical tape, then put inside a sealed plastic bag. Stuffed it all under battery box.

Where is everyone seeing the recommendation to use di-grease? There's nothing in the instructions for my PCIIIUSB that mentions di-grease.

Took your advice, mounted the cables behind the cover and not under the battery box, packed the connector's full of dielectric grease, then placed them in a heavy plastic bag and sealed the bottom around the cables
