Intermittend dead motor problem
My friend has this odd problem with his 99 Road King w/ BigBore kit and PowerCommander:
after he washes his bike it starts, runs for a minute and than dies.
It does crank but will not start again. Next day all is fine.
He uses a pressure washer, which I don't like. But he did it for years and this didn't happen until recently.
Water must be getting in somwhere, but where that would initially let it start and run and than go dead?

Have you checked the connection at the fuel pump relay, under the seatnear the battery,for corrosion? This connection could be getting water in it after it runs, vibrates, and finally shorts to another terminal. Execpt for "mud bogging" with the R.K., I would not recommend a hi-pressure washer. hope this helps!!
