Default Battery? You decide...
Thanks in advance for the diagnostic help. 2001 Dyna Low Rider, year old battery, sitting on a Battery Tender for 5 months. ( I had a heart attack in July) So yesterday, start the bike, short ride, restart, come home. Today, fired right up, go on a toy run, parade, flashers and horn. Horn stops working, 2 miles later, bike stops working, no restart. Towed home, reconnected to battery tender, solid red light, so at at least it's charging. Did I kill the battery by having it sit so long (even on a BT)? Or should I look to the charging system....

My guess is your bike is not charging the battery and you were running the bike on battery only.

Take the battery to a local auto parts place and have them diagnose it. Then you will have a better idea of what the issue is.

Then go to the DIY Electrical section, where you will find a couple of Stickys that will help diagnose any charging system problems.

Have you checked your connections at the battery ...?? Ground could be loose ..
