Default engine check lamp glowing

Engine check lamp is illuminating when bike is not running and ignition switch is off. Sometimes very dim and other times a little brighter. Any ideas?
2009 FLHRC. some mods, fuel pac, H-D speedometer w/tach, ETC extenions

Electrickery is getting somewhere it shouldn't be! Suggests a poor ground, a trapped wire, or something similar. Do you remember when you first noticed this and had you done any recent work of any kind on your bike?

Strange! Does it do it with the tender disconnected?

I have installed 14' apes internally wired using wire extensions. Was hoping someone had a suggestion to help narrow my search.

In all probability there is a minor problem with your new wiring, such as a damaged wire contacting somewhere it shouldn't. If you have a multimeter you could check continuity of each wire from the handlebar switches to the connectors at the other end. Otherwise I suggest you carefully dismantle what you did and check everything. Someone who knows the wiring of that particular model very well might be able to be more specific, but if your bike was fine before you started then there is only one conclusion!

thanks for the input, I will check the wires. Apes have been on for over a year, could be a nicked wire just now causing trouble?

I would check and see if any DTC codes have been set.

Especially B1006 or B1007

Checked DTC's several codes came up
P0113, P0120, P0220, P0222, P2127, P2135, P2138
Cleared these and none appeared after starting bike and re check
From the list of DTC'S I see these are mostly related to throttle issues
What are codes B1006 and B1007. I dont see them

That is the one advantage of internally wired handlebars, when you have an electrical problem , you pretty much know where that problem is gonna be.
