I have an '07 883 with V&H slip on's, that's it. I don't know if that's enough to make the bike act up, but I noticed the other day that while sitting in traffic for a lil bit, on about a 60 degree day, the engine will bog down. It acts like my old Belvedere, like its loading up and running crappy. I cleared it out a few time but it goes right back to loading up. Or what seems like that to me. Any suggestions? Oh and I haven't noticed any black smoke out the pipes to indicate that it is burning richer than it should. I smell the fuel out the pipes but I chocked that up to "Its a harley"
Any ideas would be great, and thanks in advance y'all

Are you sure EITMS isn't kicking in and causing this. EITMS is the heat management system. Under prolonged idle conditions, it will first richen the mixture and then skip fire the rear cylinder to manage engine heat. It runs rough and sounds bad when in skip fire mode.

Sportsters have no EITMS. I am also wondering about what tuning device was used once those pipes were swapped. Sportsters will not come close with pipes swapped without a tuning device. Half of the safeties we enjoy on a Big Twin do not exist on a sportster. Get a tune.
