Default Converting 2007 efi sportster to carbed

This isn't a question about preference. But I bought a bike as a project and it's half apart. It does have the harness and all the parts I need to put it together. I also don't think it would be hard to connect the harness as it's just plug and play.
It's more that as it is already apart, and the harness is kinda of chunky, and hard to hide.
I would like a cleaner look, so was questioning changing to carbed.
I've heard that with a thunderheart ignition module, and associated other parts ie 04-06 intake manifold, carb, non fuel injected gas tank. I can have a running bike? Is this all that could really be needed?

The link doesn't open for me, but I believe I've already seen it. I think that leaves all the wiring there though. If I was gonna switch i would want to leave all the wiring off.
Then wire up the ignition module, to get it to run with the needed carbed parts intake mani, carb, choke, ect.
The rest I would just wire separate to have the basics rear signals, brake light, headlight.

Yes but they show you the quick way.

At the end of the day it is an ignition module that runs of the crank sensor and only requires a few connections to get running.

What you do with the rest of the wiring is your decision as the module could care less it just runs the motor.

You can give it 12 volts from any source it does not have to be the wire in the genuine HD harness that supplies it.
